In this study; the possibility of concentration by heavy medium separation and washing - screening after partial calcination of magnesite ore which contains high dolomite, low iron and siliceous gangue was investigated. In calcination and heavy medium concentration studies, the best results were obtained at 800 deg C (calcination temperature) and 2.0 g/cm~3 (medium density). At calcination and washing -screening tests, the best results were obtained at 800 deg C for -4.76+2.00 mm size. This study showed that it was possible selectively separate MgO and CaO by heavy medium or washing - screening after partial calcination.
