Liquid cells enable the TEM observation of fluids, but are often limited in their ability to investigate phenomena that arerndependent on reactant gradients or mixing. A new method for initiating fluid flow and mixing within a liquid cell structure usingrnelectrolysis and microchannel geometry is explored. A prototype device is presented that allows for the direct observation of thernflow mechanism which will enable the development of fully-integrated flow devices for in situ TEM experiments.
