To enhance the conversion efficiency and electrical reliability of a low-voltage fuel cell (FC) power generation system, this paper proposes a modular single-stage grid-connected FC inverter system equipped with a power management and remote monitoring interface. In this system, each single power module is composed of three single-stage quasi-resonant (QR) flyback current-source inverters that are connected in parallel, and all the power modules are connected in parallel to achieve flexible power scaling and load sharing. The proposed inverter system possesses a power management and monitoring interface and can be integrated with a home energy management system (HEMS). Moreover, it can modulate the power of each power modules from a remote location through the controller area network bus (CAN-Bus) of the power management unit (PMU). An experiment was conducted, in which 16 power modules were assembled to form a 4.8 kW high-efficiency grid-connected FC inverter system, which was modulated through the power management and monitoring interface.
