This paper aims to analyze the effects of accelerated thermal aging on electrical, physical, and chemical properties of natural ester oil. The natural ester oil is made from palm oil. In this experiment, there are two types of aging temperature that are used which 120 and 85. At each temperature there are two types of insulation paper which are insulation paper with pretreatment (dried) and insulation paper without pre-treatment (nondried). The test is carried out for 1008 hours with sampling taken every 336 hours. The experiment results show that the longer aging duration and the higher aging temperature, characteristics such as the water content, the resistivity, the breakdown voltage, the viscosity, and the interfacial tension show decreased performance while the dissolved gas analysis indicates that CO and CO2 are major gases produced that shows paper decomposition. It can also be concluded that the initial water content of the paper also affects the speed of oil degradation.
