The subsynchronous oscillation may be induced when the wind power is compensated by series capacitor in the double fed wind farm. In order to analyze and restrain the subsynchronous oscillation caused by wind power connecting to the grid through series compensation, this paper establish a model of double fed wind turbine connecting to the grid through series compensation based on the model of the first IEEE standard. The mechanism and characteristics of subsynchronous oscillation are analyzed by eigen root analysis and time domain simulation. This paper adds a damping controller on the rotor side and obtain the frequency of the lowest electrical damping point and the compensation angle by complex torque coefficient method, and then calculate the parameters of phase shift link of SSDC, with the particle swarm intelligence algorithm used to optimize the parameters to restrain SSO and improve the stability of the system. The simulation results show that the suppression effect is very good.
