After the development of a new implantable technology for the treatment of hydrocephalus that presents competitive advantages at the reprogramming process and could detect obstructions, providing information to the specialist on the intracranial pressure of the patient and some data of the system condition, it is necessary to advance in the preliminary tests, evaluating the efficacy and safety of the new device in an animal model, for which the following paper presents an experimental protocol. The result is the methodology of a randomized controlled trial of noninferiority in dogs suffering from this disease and that require a ventriculoperitoneal shunt.
