摘要

This paper analyzes the factors that influence the municipal solid waste (MSW) generation, and determines the main influencing factors based on the results of correlation analysis. The Elman neural network model is established to predict Shanghai municipal solid waste(MSW) generation. Based on the absolute error and relative error, the model has good applicability and accuracy and predicts Shanghai municipal solid waste (MSW) generation in the next few years. Finally, compared with BP neural network model, Elman neural network is more suitable for the prediction of municipal solid waste (MSW) generation.
