The function of La2O3 in Pd/CeO2-ZrO2 catalysts for methanol decomposition

摘要

Introduction The decomposition of methanol to CO and H2 is applied in the fuel cell and methanol powered vehicles, which is also used as a cleaner alternative energy resource. In this paper, a series of Pd/CeO2-ZrO2 catalysts with different La loading were investigated for methanol decomposition. The addition of lanthana significantly improved the catalytic ativity for methanol decomposition.
