摘要

Rare earth oxide, especially CeO2 is a promising catalyst in pollutants removal, such as in automobile exhausts purifying and CO oxidation duo to its redox properties. To deeply understand the catalytic properties of ceria-based catalysts, the theoretical calculation (DFT+U) and the mechanism of carbon monoxide oxidation on ceria-based oxides were investigated. Furthermore, mesoporous and microstructured rare earth based materials were synthesized for pollutants removal.
