In this paper, the hydroelastic response of very large floating structures under the combined action of waves and currents is investigated. The structure is approximated as a flat plate on the water surface. The solution of a point pulsating pressure of frequency ω advancing with a velocity U on the water surface is used as a Green function to establish an integral equation, which describes the relation between the pressure distributions and the plate deflections. For a given mode shape, the pressure distributions can be obtained by solving the integral equation. The total pressures are equal to the sum of each mode pressures. Based on the incident wave shape, we obtain the wave-current exciting pressures by solving the integral equation. We take the natural vibration modes of plate as generalized coordinates to obtain the 10 equations of motion and solve the problem.
