摘要

In this paper, we show results of model experiments of a VLMOS in irregular waves, and the results of the wave induced drift force in oblique waves. In addition, the coupled pFFT-NASTRAN method is enhanced to perform the accurate computation. The experimental results are compared with numerical results by the latest version of the pFFT-NASTRAN code. Summarizing the results obtained by experimentally and numerically, it is found that the hydro elastic behavior of a VLMOS in irregular waves can estimate by the linear theory and the pFFT-NASTRAN method is useful to achieve the reliable numerical computation for this problem.
