The man in the current stage of technological development has been improving thernprognostic methods that facilitate the analysis of environmental impact assessmentrnusing new techniques of applying numerical and physical modelling. This workrncompares the use of some expert systems to give the prognostic of temperaturernprofiles when warm water effluents are released in stillwater reservoirs through singlernport submerged horizontal conduits. The results are presented through some nondimensionalrngraphics obtained by using CORMIX 1 and PLUMAC 2.2 expert systemsrnand software PHOENICS.
