Grain-oriented electrical steel has excellent magnetic properties with highly aligned Goss texture due to secondary recrystallization. A concern is how the Goss grain has the decisive advantage to grow selectively under certain circumstances. Recently, Hayakawa and Szpunar have proposed that high energy (HE) boundaries with respect to the Goss grain should be taken into account for the selective growth process. Extensive ODF analysis has been done to support this hypothesis using different ypes of primary recrystallized textures by means of changing cold reduction. The following resulting were obtained: (1) Selectivity of secondary Goss grains, based on magnetic induction B8, increased with the increasing of cld reduction up to a level of 85&, and then decreased at hte reduction to a level of 90
