Deep Excavation in Soft Clay by Using the Rule of Time-Space Effect

This paper introduces the theory and application of controlling ground movement around deep excavation for Shanghai metro station in soft soil by using the rule of Time-Space Effect (TSE) in excavation to mobilize the soil's potential of controlling ground movement.
