A case study: the investigation to nearshore submarine slides near Hujiu wharf of Xiamen

摘要

The geological hazards, especially submarine slides, become more with the development of the costal engineering projects. The investigation to the submarine slide near Hujiu wharf of Xiamen Island was carried out. Methods such as geophysical survey, hydrogeological observation and drilling were applied in hopes of determining the sliding range and destructive situation and obtaining information for the treatment design. The submarine slide was delineated by the data derived from borehole, geophysical and seabed topographic detections.
