摘要

The optimum thin coal mining equipment is a selection of the multiple objectives. Thtraditional method is an empiric analogue approach. It is subject to extensive subjective and random discretion. This paper is intended to discuss and analyze the assessment of mining method by catastrophe evaluation theory. The complex assessment system of mining method is divided according to inherent stratification link of each factor , then put them to quantitative and recursive operation by using normalization formula so as to obtain the ultimate catastrophe membership function values of different mining method. Finally, the optimum thin coal mining equipment model could be established. Its calculation procedure is given and exemplified. The result is fairly consistent with that of the reality. The study provides a new method for selecting optimum the thin coal mining equipment.
