One-dimension compression behavior of sedimented coal fly ashes

摘要

In case of utilizing large amounts of coal ash, it is effective to use coal ash as reclamation material in coastal area. In this study, for six kinds of coal ash, sedimentation and one-dimension compression behavior were compared and discussed. Main conclusions of this paper are as follows. (1) Void ratio of sedimented coal ash is depends on particle density and grain size. (2) Compressibility of sedimented coal ash differs with coal kinds. (3) Compressibility of sedimented coal ash can be evaluated uniquely by introducing a index with initial void ratio.
