RELATIONS BETWEEN MICRO AND MACRO DESCRIPTION OF COMPLEX SYSTEM

In general, a complex system can be described from the point of microscopic or macroscopic view. This paper discusses the relationship between these two descriptions. The conditions for getting certain functional relationship between different macro level variables are deduced. It indicates that we could not apply micro level mechanics into macro level directly, and we need to check the results based on macro level variables, in particularly, we must rethink macro level relationship through data regression. As an example, the paper gives micro basis of Solow growth model and conditions under which macro production function exists in macroeconomics.
