Knowledge management is one of the important concept and means in contemporary enterprise management. Knowledge management software system is a kind of assistant means, which is helpful for enterprises to carry out knowledge management. To begin with, this paper analyses up-to-date states of knowledge management software, then discusses new techniques for developing knowledge management software systems including techniques based on knowledge lifecycle, generalized computing and generalized learning techniques. Knowledge, as a special product, has its lifecycle. The knowledge lifecycle includes knowledge creating, knowledge coding, knowledge promulgating, knowledge utilizing, and so on. In knowledge management software systems, knowledge discovery, knowledge description and knowledge processing are key problems. While the generalized computing is a new kind of synthetically integrated techniques which fuses the strong points of symbolic computing, neuro-computing, fuzzy computing and evolutionary computing together. And the generalized learning is a kind of integrated learning system for knowledge acquirement. Therefore, when the generalized computing and generalized learning are used in knowledge management software, it is more effective and more strongly.
