THE WORKFLOW MANAGEMENT SYSTEM INTEGRATED WITH PDM

With the perpetual improvement and application of information technology, the requirements of enterprise on software systems that they needed improve increasingly. By comparing the relative merits of the single PDM system with the single workflow management system, the paper lodges the workflow management system integrated with PDM, and the same time, the author also offers the system structure and its implementation methods. In order to realize agile integration with PDM, the system adopts the method based on component and encapsulates workflow engines and each function modules with COM to invoke agilely one other. The workflow enactment service is the core of the workflow management system, and the paper discusses emphatically the running mechanism of the workflow enactment service and offers API design methods of the workflow engine and the partial key techniques in the system. Lastly, the paper offers the developing direction of the system---the workflow management system driven by the target.
