Reducing Recommendation Entropy

Equipment repair and modification costs are an ever increasing burden on the fleet's budget. As the fleet's assets become more complex, the repair and modification costs increase at a faster rate. As the fleet's technical representatives, making the equipment condition evaluations and repair recommendations that have a large impact on these costs, we need to develop a more effective and accurate method of assessing equipment condition and recommending necessary repairs. An understanding of Equipment Service Life, Useful Service life and well defined and practiced System and Equipment Evaluation Considerations provide a method for determining necessary equipment repairs and eliminating premature and unnecessary repairs and modifications.
