In recent years, the Intensively Rammed Composite Foundation (IRCF) has been developed into an integrated construction technique of the composite foundation and a quality guaranteed system. This paper describes the design and strengthening principle, parameter choices and calculating and construction procedures. It raises the methodology and standards of construction quality tests. As an engineering case, the project was at a tide silt area. The design parameters of the IRCF were used in one municipal project located at Shenzhen City, Southern China.
