(1) We have been able to change almost all motors of automobile to magnets motors using arc segment hard ferrite magnets. We have developed high performance ferrite magnets to reply the requirement of save energy, safety and comforts. (2) People required more save energy, more smaller and lighter, reduce noise, more high power. We must re design from DC brush motor to DC brushless motor. The highest material of 9B is almost theoretical limit. 9B is good for IPM type motor but not enough for ring type motors. (3) Iso and anisotropic rare earth ring magnets are the best materials for brushless motors. Bonded RE magnets are good for usual application. Solid radial oriented RE magnets are good for high power application. (4) MQI has been keeping monopoly situation in bonded RE magnets market. Recently there are many similar or characteristic RE bonded materials developed in the market. I believe they will make their own market and grow. (5) Iso and radial oriented RE magnets can be magnetized any pole numbers and any pattern. Especially bonded magnets are very good materials as keeping good size tolerance without grinding, thinner wall, less chipping, smooth surface and enough strength.
