Sampling systems and techniques with applications in the process industries

Sampling decisions, techniques, and equipment are important for obtaining a sample that is representative of the product in the process system. This workshop covered s ubjects that included proper sample point, discussion of flowing streams, and their effect on the product to be sampled; as well as spot sampling techniques and equipment, including sample probes, sample containers, and their use in the sampling process, transportation, and sampling for on-line analyzers, including line conditioning, bypass loops, and phase control in the sampling process.
