摘要

This paper briefly introduces the effects of test temperature and moisture absorption on open-hole fatigue strength characteristics of candidate high temperature polymer matrix composites for Next Generation Supersonic Civil Transport. Then, the residual open-hole fatigue strength is presented after more than 4,000 cycles under the environmentally accelerated thermal cycle aging conditions. Finally, the research and developments of the multi-channel long-term composite durability testing apparatus performed under the simulated real-environments are reported along with some preliminary test results for the initial checkout stress versus strain response under the simulated flight profile.
