This study was undertaken to investigate the behaviour of essentially sandy soils mixed with polymeric fibres and cement. The results show that there is a reduction in compressive strength and increase in permeability when fibre is added. However, there is a significant improvement when fibres and cement are added to a soil in terms of its flexural strength and ductility. This study also shows that there is a significant reduction in erosion rate with fibres and cement.
