Behaviour of extruded geogrids under different loading conditions

The paper deals with the mechanical behaviour of extruded geogrids in static and cyclic tensile loading conditions. The cyclic behaviour of the geogrids was studied in-isolation, by carrying out laboratory tests at different frequencies and amplitude, up to 10,000 cycles. Moreover, the long-term behaviour under static tensile loads has been studied by monitoring a reinforced embankment, instrumented with strain gauges, for over 16,000 hours.
