The topic "Remediation of previously used sites" needs the knowledge of engineers in the field of Geosciences and Geotechnology, representatives of the property sector, such as banks and insurance sector, and politics including planning authorities and environmental Legislation. The central position, of course, is taken up by the land owner, respectively the investor. An interdisciplinary approach is therefore necessary to handle the contrary problems concerned with "Brownfields".
