NEW DEVELOPMENTS OF THE ESACRACK AND FRAMES-2 SOFTWARE

摘要

The European Space Agency (ESA) has developed anddistributed since the mid-eighties the software packagesESACRACK and FRAMES-2.A number of new developments to these packages aremade in the framework of an ESA study addressingvarious aspects of structural integrity and fracturecontrol of pressurised structures (this includes hardwareunder pressure, but also payloads inside pressurisedmodules of the Space Shuttle and International SpaceStation). Significant improvements in terms of user-friendlinessand technical capabilities have beenachieved.In addition to the modifications of the software,additional guidelines and examples are developed, e.g.For application of the strip-yield crack-growthretardation model and development of fatigue spectrafor Space Shuttle payloads.
