Amorphous P-glasses in the system 40P_2O_5-25-CaO-5Na_2O-(30-x)MgO-xSrO were successfully prepared via the melt-quenching route. P-glass with 5 mol.% of SrO showed the highest stability in PBS. According to the SBF test, all the P-glasses studied are bioactive and possess bone-forming capacity.
