摘要

The aim of this paper is to study the titanium and boron, influence on the grain refining of 6063 and 6082 alloys. The laboratory research underlined the role of free titanium and borides on the cast alloys grain size. Microstructure analyzes realized by optical (Buehler OMNIMET EXPRESS) and electronic (SEM with EDAX) microscopy highlighted the titanium and boride role during the nucleation and grain growth processes in cast alloys. The paradigms of dissolved elements and nucleant were verified during the grain refining process of 6063 and 6082 alloys.
