Cooling towers in the main living area are used for the circulating water of central air conditioning system, hot and coldrnexchange. The noise is loud when they work, and they wound affect the surroundings if they don’t taken measures. Currently,rndifferent kind of cooling towers have different noise control measures, but few studies into the wind on one side of the cooling tower.rnThis study combines engineering examples to do the research of noise control for single inlet air cooling tower and find viable andrneconomical method for noise control. We take a one-sided inlet silencer, and the remaining three sides of insulation, the outletrnmuffler way which means acoustic enclosures plus resistive muffler way to control the cooling tower noise. We analyze the noiserncharacteristics of the cooling tower. After treatment, the noise in this district can be achieved the second-class standards in Emissionrnstandard for community noise(GB22337-2008) , namely the noise of the sensitive points is 50dB less during the night.
