Microcomputer Servomotor Positioning

The Raspberry Pi is a small, Linux computer. Its low price makes it disposable, which is useful in radioactive and other hazardous environments. The purpose of this work is to examine the Raspberry Pi's ability as a data acquisition and control device. In order to demonstrate the Raspberry Pi's capabilities, we chose the task of motor servo positioning using a closed-loop proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller, as shown in Fig. 1.
