Literatures relating to automobile seating comfort were analyzed and summarized in this paper. Seating comfortrnmainly refers to static comfort, dynamic comfort, lateral vibration stability, and temperature and humidity comfort. Inrnaddition to comfort, the health of the occupant is also affected by the seat design. A dramatic increase in the number ofrnlow back problems in recent years suggested that automobile seat design principles at present were improper orrninsufficient. However, there are few studies on the health care of the occupant, especially for the driver. How to avoidrnLBP is an important task to be solved. A conclusion that comfort and health care is one of the developments of seatingrncomfort is made in this paper.
