摘要

The feature of flame propagation under the condition with the positive or negative corona discharge has beenrninvestigated using a constant volume vessel. A homogeneous propane-air mixture was used and six equivalence ratiosrnfrom 0.7 to 1.5 [-] were tested. Combustion pressure record was measured and flame front behavior was observed inrnorder to clarify an influence of corona discharge on the combustion characteristics. The flame propagation is enhancedrnwith increasing the input voltage, therefore the flame front behavior is influenced by the positive and negative coronarndischarge. The burning period of rich mixture is shortened by the positive corona discharge, as compared with that ofrnstoichiometric mixture.
