Forecasting Collapse Hazard Using Real-Time Microseismic Monitoring – Case of a Solution Mining Production Field

摘要

The real-time microseismic monitoring demand is growing in the mining and petroleum industries for risk assessment, caprock integrity follow-up and production strategy improvement. The method presented in this paper forecasts collapse and low ground subsidence on a solution mining production field and is everyday used as an early warning system. It is a real-time decision making help for on-site supervisor, easily transposable to other production fields.
