PS-InSAR has become one of the most important techniques for studying crustal deformation, urban subsidence and volcanic activity because of the inherent advantages of it. Now, there are several different algorithms developed from it. Researchers will face the question that which has better performance on their own specific research areas. The comparison of two PS-InSAR algorithms implemented in GAMMA IPTA and StaMPS in monitoring surface deformation of Altyn area were explored. As far as PS density, distribution, coherence and deformation accuracy generated from the two algorithms concerned, StaMPS performed better than GAMMA IPTA as a whole, however, it was much more time and computer memory consuming.
