Technology Preservation and Transfer for Nuclear Power Plant Decommissioning

Nuclear power plant decommissioning in Japan has already started in Tokai, Fugen and Hamaoka 1/2 and will be started approximately one plant every year in 2030s. Therefore it is crucial to establish a mechanism to preserve knowledge on past technology development and actual decommissioning experiences, and transfer the knowledge from senior to junior personnel who undertake decommissioning operation. The decommissioning of the nuclear power plant may last from one generation to thernnext several generations.
