The Use and Application of High Performance Polymer Solutions for the Effective Prevention and Control of Corrosion in Water Supply Systems

The use of water treatment chemicals and the commonly high humidity environments ofrncooling water systems create a particularly heavy burden for maintenance personnel to tackle.rnChemical corrosion, bi-metallic corrosion, stress corrosion cracking, crevice corrosion,rnmicrobiologically induced corrosion, to a name a few, can all become culprits in limiting the lifernexpectancy of many cooling water components. Corrosion as a result of these differentrnmechanisms can be controlled and eliminated as a result of the effective use of highrnperformance polymers. For years, high performance polymers have been used in the controlrnof corrosion in condenser waterboxes, recirculating water pumps, drip pans, pipes, valves,rncooling tower fans, etc.
