Surface cleaning of art work by UV, VIS and IR pulse laser radiation

Paper presents trade-off studies of encrustation removing from a relief slab (sandstone), utilising a laser emitting four wavelengths from UV to IR. The source of radiation was ReNOVALaser 2 device, generating radiation wavelengths of 1.064μm, 0.532 μm, 0.355 μm and 0.266 μm. The results of investigations are presented on a diagram showing ablation speed as a function of irradiation for four wavelengths.
