THE LWS RELATIVE SPECTRAL RESPONSE FUNCTION

The Long Wavelength Spectrometer (LWS) Relative Spectral Response Function (RSRF) is derived using data from in-orbit observations of Uranus. This paper outlines the evolution of the response function, from the ground tests before ISO's launch, to the current version. The accuracy of the derived function is discussed in the context of the in-orbit detector behaviour, and in the context of the LWS spectra, fitting it to an overall far-infrared photometry scheme.
