MERCURY EMISSIONS RELATIVE TO OTHER AIR TOXICS FROM COAL-FIRED UTILITY BOILERS

This poster presentation reports the main elements of a "first-cut" of an approach to "rank" mercury emissions relative to measurements of co-emitted air toxics from coal-fired utility boilers, on a basis of total health impact. To this end, EPA emission factor data and health-related data were analyzed. It is shown that the impacts of some other air toxic emissions may be as significant as those of mercury or more so.
