摘要

Spline fictitious boundary element method (SFBEM) is a modified indirect boundary element method (IBEM) with several unique advantages. Recent years this method has been introduced into uncertainty analysis and several improvements are obtained. With the derivation of two sets of governing differential equations with respect to the means and deviations of responses by including the first order terms of deviations, deterministic fundamental solutions can be utilized in SFBEM for solving stochastic problems with the parameters modeled with random fields. SFBEM can also be used in the reliability analysis with the parameters modeled with random variables in conjunction with the advanced first-order-second-moment (AFOSM) method or Monte-Carlo method. The implementations of these methods are introduced for the stochastic and reliability analysis of plane elasticity problems in this paper.
