Highways and fast optical network implementation

摘要

This paper presents a very innovative installation technology together with a specially optimised cable design, that have been developed to be used along motorways. These developments have been conducted in order to respond to a new challenge brought by the liberalisation of the telecommunications markets, main goals being the fast deployment of a network with minimum initial capital investment.
