RESEARCH ON RFID-BASED PRODUCTION LOGISTICSMANAGEMENT TECHNIQUES WITH APPLICATION INGARMENT INDUSTRY

With the explosion of information in garment productionlogistics management (GPLM), RFID (Radio FrequencyIdentification) technology was introduced to decreaseworkload of manual inputting and disposing mass data.Combining with the characteristics of garment industry, RFIDtechnology was applied to material warehouse, tailoringworkshop, stitching workshop, ironing workshop, finishedproduct warehouse so that the real-time data about order,material, quality, et al. of production processes could beaccessed or recorded and the management of basic data couldbe enhanced. The RFID-based information model andlogistics model of garment production were presented byanalyzing the information requirement for the GPLM. On thebasis of the above work, a RFID-based garment productionlogistics management system (GPLMS) was developed. Thesystem was used in a garment enterprise and it is shown thatthe system can greatly improve the automation andintelligence of GPLM.
