PRELOAD INDICATING WASHER

摘要

Preload Indicating (PLI) Washer is one kind of special washer which is designed and nanufactured for the indication of bolt' s preload. It is used to control precisely the pretension during assembling bolt to meet the demands of design. It is an improtant means for enhancing reliability of bolted joint and improving bolt' s fatigue strength. Because of convenient use and reliabiliy, it is widely used in important joint which bear variable load, e. g. , in bolted joint on aircraft ring and fuselage etc. . This paper expounds the working principle of the PLI washer and determination of design parameters in detail, and also provides practical and typical standard pattern.
