Reproducible zinc ion-exchange resins, which acted as suppliers for ions composing crystal, and saturated calcium hydroxide solution were mixed and reacted for certain time under certain temperature and stirring to prepare nanometer zinc oxide directly. The products were characterized through SEM, differential thermal balance, FTIR, XRD, and UV-Vis spectrophotometer, which showed that the products are modified, uniform and one-dimension clubbed structure, and the ratio of length to diameter is more than 10:1. Moreover the products have good crystallization property, strong ultraviolet absorption and visible transmission and photocatalysis, and the circulating product CaSO4 has good morphology also, resulting zero-exhausting.
