On this paper, carbon nanotubes were surface-treated by surfactant which could prevent the particles from reuniting. Carbon nanotubes/acrylate coatings were prepared on the basis of steady carbon nanotubes solution and studied reflection properties of the coatings at near infrared wave. A series of factors influenced on reflectivity of carbon nanotubes/acrylate coatings at λ=930nm, such as PVC concentration, the kinds and concentration of surfactant and pipe range of carbon nanotubes were discussed. At last, the coating technique was optimized and carbon nanotubes/acrylate coatings were prepared which had excellent absorption properties. The reflectivity are all under 0.1% of the coatings and its transmission are below 1.0% at near infrared wave of 840~980nm. Carbon nanotubes are hollow tubes. The light was absorbed strongly by tube walls when it traveled in carbon nanotubes. So it makes great advantages that carbon nanotubes as a kind of absorbent at near infared wave were applied at military field.
