For the entrained bed gasification, its primary investment is too high and thermal efficiency is too low. Therefore, a new concept of coal gasification is introduced. Preliminary experimental results show that the system is superior to the conventional entrained bed, based on higher cold gas efficiency (increased by 7%). Then a simulation and optimization model has been built and perfected. It can accurately predict the system's operation at various conditions. The new technology's effect on the other parts of polygeneration system has also been studied. The results obtained may serve as a reference for future design and optimization of polygeneration system.
