摘要

The successful three-dimensional finite element modeling of the acoustic wave propagation in a non-homogeneous domain encourages application of the FEM to more complex cases where other methods have failed to address accurately. It also motivates the development of more efficient computational methods, such as spectral element method (SEM), in order to address wider frequency range, as 3-D FEM is still very expensive regarding the computational cost for solving high frequency acoustic fields.
